Message from the President

The RGV Group tourism-initiated projects for 2017 onwards will generate employment and livelihood opportunities as well as revenues to the Province of Oriental Mindoro and the country in general."

Our beloved father, RGV, now has quality time taking care of our family, and we're happy. But we do agree and fully support his desire to continue developing more projects in Mindoro Island even as a private citizen.

Outside politics, RGV is a successful realtor. An icon in real estate, a TOYM awardee in the field of human settlements, and a most outstanding practitioner in the real estate service awarded by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC).

Vividly, I remember my father putting up the RGV Marketing Management Corporation (RGVMM) in 1978 which, after only 24 months of operations, landed in the Top 1000 Corporations in the Philippines, among the top 600 highest taxpayers. RGVMMC had a well-organized sales force of no less than 2,000 realtors, brokers and sales agents handling no less than 30 projects all over Metro Manila and the CALABARZON being developed at the same time. The Company likewise established its overseas marketing group in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Singapore, USA and Italy.

His strong calling to serve the province temporarily pulled him out from a flourishing realty business

My father's focus shifted to politics and served as Congressman of the first district by a landslide victory in the 1987 Elections. It was then that he crafted and implemented his initial development program better known as the "Vision Mindoro." thereafter, RGV served as Governor for three consecutive terms followed by another three terms as Congressman.

RGV was highly known for the cancellation of TLA 376 saving the Mindoro's watershed, dismantled the shipping monopoly which paved the way for the entry of several shipping lines operating fast craft and "Ro Ro" vessels in the Batangas-Calapan nautical route on a 24/7 basis daily, in a healthy competition, and many more. Eventually, RGV was given accolades for being a consistent oustanding congressman and governor.

Upon his return to business in July 2013, and with the full support of his loyal officers and staff, the RGV Group slowly but surely made its strong comeback in its business resources and revenues.

To-date, the RGV Group had paid off most of its outstanding bank loans hitting a target to be debt-free by the end of 2017.

Having faith in the present administration of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, the RGV Group is launching several projects particularly on housing and tourism development which you may read in this publication.

The RGV Group tourism-initiated projects for 2017 onwards will generate employment and livelihood opportunities as well as revenues to the Province of Oriental Mindoro and the country in general.

In addition, Mindoro Island is empowered to become the eco-toursim capital of the Philippines. It has perfect greenery and lush vegetation, beach resort development is doable in its shoreline with wide stretch of virgin whitesand and underwater garden.
