The Municipality of Bulalacao

Bulalacao, officially the Municipality of Bulalacao, (formerly San Pedro) is located at southernmost town of the province of Oriental Mindoro. It is 162.9 kilometers (101.22 mi) from Calapan City.

It is endowed with unspoiled natural resources and industrious people. The place is a promising getaway for those dreaming of nature and adventure with its forests and parks that are ideal for hiking and trekking, the numerous white sandy islands that are best for camping and beach bumming, with beautiful coves, hidden caves, waterfalls and lakes,.
It has islands, coves and peninsulas declared as tourism zones and marine reserves under Proclamation 1801 dated November 10, 1978 for administration by the Philippines Tourism Authority. Fishing and agriculture still provides the main industry. It is the source of acquatic products that are transported to nearby towns up to Batangas and Manila.

Biniray Festival is a way of thanksgiving for the blessings from the sea. The celebration starts in the early hours of the morning, with a flotilla of intricately decorated boats that encircles Bulalacao Bay. The traditional putong (crowning) of the patrons Peter and Paul complete the final rituals. A street dancing is also staged during the day participated mostly by students in indigenous costumes
